Universal H-pipe exhaust kit to add exhaust crossover to dual exhaust vehicles. Manufactured from T304 stainless steel .065-inch wall tubing. Kit features pre-formed slip fit “T” connectors to integrate into your exhaust. Straight and 16-degree center bend crossover tubes included for H-pipe. Six exhaust clamps are included for a complete bolt-in upgrade. Increase Low-End Torque and Throttle Response by Adding an Exhaust Crossover Dual exhaust applications can see a nice bump in low-end torque and better throttle responsiveness when a crossover pipe, or “H-pipe” is installed. This is because the crossover pipe provides equalization to the exhaust pressure pulses coming from the manifolds or headers. This exhaust pulse scavenging is what helps with the throttle response and torque at the bottom of the tach. Furthermore, adding an H-style crossover will often help with exhaust system drone by canceling certain exhaust note frequencies. H-pipes are also known to create a slightly deeper exhaust note overall versus the popular X-pipe crossover, which is typically used when peak horsepower is a priority. The typical exhaust H-pipe installation will often net a 5-15 horsepower increase depending on where the exhaust crossover pipe is positioned. Crafted from .065-inch wall T304 stainless steel, our universal H-pipe crossover kit features pre-welded T-connectors to fit into your left and right exhaust system mid-pipe area after your header or exhaust manifold. These T-connectors include expanded openings to allow them to easily fit over your existing exhaust pipes for a weld-free installation using the included exhaust clamps. The crossover portion can be completed by using either the included 24-inch long straight section or 23.77-inch long 16-degree center bend section of exhaust tubing. The 16-degree center bend tubing helps clear the transmission or driveshaft on vehicles where the exhaust system is tucked up close to the drivetrain. The straight section makes for a simple straight across H-pipe exhaust connection on vehicles where there is clearance. Just like the T-connectors, the exhaust crossover pipe is designed to fit into the expanded opening of the T-connector and secured with the included clamps.
