Variegated Pittosporum has glossy evergreen leaves which are tightly arranged in whorls at the ends of the branches. The leaves are variegated white, gray, and light green in color. It produces very fragrant white, orange-blossom scented, flowers in Spring. It is often planted in coastal regions due to its high salt tolerance. When planting this shrub, dig the hole twice as wide as the pot and mix rich garden soil in with your native soil, then leave the top of the root ball 1/2 inch above the ground level when filling the hole with soil. Use a slow release granular fertilizer in Spring. Not guaranteed to be in bloom on arrival.
